Our wet summer last year is just a memory and our kind winter is now aproaching
spring with new season ahead of us, however this is the time to think about what work needs to be done
to prepare your boat for this years cruising and think about spending money, oh how horrible. Your boat will need
to be antifouled to increase its speed through the water and save on fuel costs and a polish will retain its value (a
refinishing paint job may well increase its value). Essentially the engine will need to be serviced so please book your
work now to avoid disappointment as the coming spring is a very busy time for us.
Remember that we are the top boat repair and maintenance company in the south west of Engand and the
customers who keep coming back to us are a testament of our success.
Our
little workshop at the bottom of the car park at mayflower Marina has just been refurbished with a new roof and double glazing
so you can pop down and have a talk to us about your requirements, advice and coffee are free and we love a chat.
A little bit of humour;
Well I try hard to insert some humour on these
pages, but of course, boat repair and maintenance is a very serious business, however;
Thanks to our customer captain Peter, his first officer Paul and the overall boss Pearl of the mighty vessel Castoff
I have now updated this site and addressed the issues raised by them regarding fonts and more regular updates.
Ian together with his engineering skills has been found to have an amazing ability to
stir paint and Gary now allows him to stir the paint used for refinishing. We think he learnt his skills from his many
years of coffee making and stirring the powdered milk into the cup without lumps floating to the surface.
Mick has learnt how to squeeze into very small spaces
but we have the marina crane on standby to get him out and if you want him to pebble dash your deck with his previous meal
it is easily acheived by a passing wave whilst on sea trials.
Mark is a recent temporary addition to our workforce who specialises in varnishing and restoration
but has skills in many other fields. We will publish photos of him at work as soon as we can find one.
Some good news;
Gary
has now put his caravan into hibernation for the winter so delays on the A38 are now much less likely so please
use this oportunity to visit us and discuss your needs.
